McCormick's (MKC) proposed merger with Unilever's (UL) foods business has entered the UK Competition and Markets Authority's initial information-gathering process after the regulator invited comments from interested parties on Tuesday.
The regulator said it has not yet launched a formal investigation into the proposed transaction.
The invitation to comment ends Aug. 5.
