Shares of NVE jumped to a 52-week high after the company reported first-quarter revenue rose 81% and net income increased 79% from last year.
Shares were recently up 43% at $124.04 in late Thursday morning trading. Earlier in the session, shares hit $128.81, a 52-week high.
First-quarter net income rose to $6.39 million, or $1.32 a share, from $3.58 million, or 74 cents a share, in the prior-year period.
Revenue was $11 million, up from $6.1 million a year earlier.
"We're pleased to report exceptional growth in revenue and earnings driven by new product sales and a strong semiconductor market," said NVE President and Chief Executive Officer Daniel A. Baker, Ph.D.
NVE also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $1 a share, payable August 31 to shareholders of record August 3.
