Louis Vuitton owner LVMH is scheduled to report results on Monday. Here is what you need to know.

SALES FORECAST: The French luxury-goods giant is expected to post revenue of 19.45 billion euros ($22.13 billion) for the second quarter, according to estimates from 14 analysts compiled by Visible Alpha. In the prior-year period, the group reported 19.5 billion euros. Sales of 8.97 billion euros are expected in its core fashion and leather goods division compared with 9.01 billion euros.

NET PROFIT FORECAST: The company, which is considered a bellwether for the luxury sector, should book net profit of 5.22 billion euros for the first half, according to the same consensus, down from 5.7 billion euros.

Shares have dropped around 3% over the past 12 months and are down nearly 29% since the start of the year.

WHAT TO WATCH

--The focus will be on growth in the company's key fashion and leather goods business, which houses brands such as Dior and Louis Vuitton. Positive results from this segment could reinforce early signs that demand for luxury goods is widening to products other than jewelry after two years of stagnant sales.

--Investors will also be watching for any material impact from a decline in tourism, analysts at Deutsche Bank said in a research note. The war in the Middle East has disrupted air travel this year, prompting lower tourist flows, particularly from Asia to European fashion cities like Paris and Milan.

--LVMH has recently introduced a series of creative changes at some of its leading brands, including Dior. Analysts at Deutsche Bank argue that Dior's recovery should be bolstered by new products under renewed creative leadership.
