Genmab, Abbvie Say Lymphoma Drug Failed to Meet Primary Endpoint in Phase 3 Trial

A drug co-developed by Genmab and AbbVie to treat a certain type of lymphoma failed to meet its primary endpoint in a Phase 3 trial.

The companies on Thursday clarified that the trial's sole U.S. primary endpoint was overall survival. The companies had previously disclosed topline results of the study on Jan. 16.

The trial evaluated monotherapy epcoritamab compared with chemoimmunotherapy of either rituximab plus gemcitabine plus oxaliplatin, or bendamustine plus rituximab, in adults with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma who were ineligible for autologous stem cell transplantation.
