0655 GMT - UniCredit's results tick all the boxes to be well received by investors, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods's Hugo Cruz and Ben Maher say in a research note. Second-quarter earnings were slightly ahead of expectations, driven by better-than-anticipated revenue and provisions, KBW says. The Italian bank continued to improve asset quality and raised its guidance for this year and beyond while upgrading expectations for its Commerzbank investment, the analysts say. "The [UniCredit] share price has outperformed the [Euro Stoxx Banks index] by 1.5% over the last month, but with [UniCredit]doing all the right things we think these results should be well received," they add.
