D.R. Horton Guidance Cut Implies Weak Q4 Volume, Truist Says

D.R. Horton's (DHI) better-than-expected fiscal Q3 results were offset by a guidance cut, Truist Securities said in a note Tuesday.

DHI beat on the top and bottom line, with a gross margin result that was "decently" ahead of market expectations, the report said.

"However, the positive results were offset...by a guide cut that implies weak 4Q volume about 11% below Street expectations," the note said.

Earlier, the company said it now expects fiscal 2026 revenue of $32.5 billion to $33.0 billion, compared with $33.5 billion to $34.5 billion previously.

Truist maintained its hold rating and a $150 price target.
