Liberty Energy (LBRT) has formed a joint venture with the privately held PowerBridge to provide electricity to data center systems, the power-system developer disclosed late Wednesday.
The new JV will develop a two-gigawatt powered Alpha Digital Campus in West Texas, while establishing a platform to pursue future opportunities serving hyperscale, AI computing, and other large-load customers nationwide.
Liberty Energy will provide natural-gas powered modules to generate electricity for the Alpha Digital Campus, and PowerBridge will handle the datacenter development, including the fiber conduit network and other infrastructure.
