BHP Group (ASX:BHP) said Friday a member of its team working for one of its contracting partners suffered a fatal injury in a "vehicle-related incident" at the Peak Downs coal mine in Queensland.
Another team member was injured, the miner said in a statement, adding that it was working with emergency services and the Resources Health and Safety Queensland and providing support to the families and loved ones involved.
The company's shares fell past 2% in recent trading on Friday.
