The worker of a partner company died at HL Mando's (KRX:204320) Pyeongtaek plant on Wednesday after the person was entrapped in equipment during a pre-inspection for facility maintenance, according to a Thursday filing with the Korean Exchange.
The police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor will carry out an on-site inspection and put measures in place to prevent such an occurrence in the future, the filing said.
Shares of the automotive equipment manufacturer and supplier rose nearly 3% at market close.
