Amazon-backed (AMZN) Anthropic will distribute funds from a court-approved $1.5 billion copyright settlement to various beneficiaries, including Bloomsbury Publishing, Bloomsbury said Wednesday.
The legal resolution covers 14,087 book titles, awarding roughly $3,000 per work before deducting expenses to be shared equally between authors and the company, the company said.
The financial distributions will arrive across multiple installments starting in H2 of the financial year, Bloomsbury Publishing said.
