MT Newswires Live09:11

Maritana Minerals (ASX:MRT) is progressing required approvals to implement its accommodation strategy for workers at its Black Swan processing hub in Western Australia, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

It procured kitchen and accommodation units from ATCO Structures & Logistics to build a 60-room permanent camp at Black Swan. The camp design is scalable to 120 rooms. It acquired a property in central Kalgoorlie with existing development approval for the construction of a 50-room camp and secured temporary accommodation to support ongoing resource drilling activities and the planned ramp-up of mining operations.

It also engaged Quick Camps to provide a 57-room temporary camp at the hub, including kitchen and other amenities, to support development activities. The camp will be operational from August and remain on site for around 12 months.

Worker accommodation will be allocated based on the location of operating sites across the life of the project.

Its shares fell 1% in recent trading on Thursday.
