SoftBank Group secured a new group of 21 lenders for the $40 billion bridge loan for its investment in Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

About $7 billion of the facility was allocated to the new group, with GIC, First Abu Dhabi Bank and Standard Chartered Bank (SCBFF) taking a share of almost $1 billion each, sources told Bloomberg. The remaining $33 billion, held by the loan's underwriters and senior lenders, could also be syndicated further, the report said.

SoftBank Group did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for a comment.
