MT Newswires Live07-27

Veru (VERU) said Monday it has completed enrollment in a phase 2 trial evaluating its experimental drug, enobosam, in combination with semaglutide, in about 200 adults aged 65 and older with obesity.

The company said the study will evaluate whether the combination drug will help patients lose more weight while preserving muscle mass, physical function and bone density during semaglutide treatment.

The main goal is to measure changes in body weight after 68 weeks of treatment, the company said.

Interim results, including data on muscle and fat mass, are expected in Q1 2027, with final topline results scheduled in Q4 2027.
