Kiniksa's Arcalyst Growth Outlook Strengthens, Wedbush Says

Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals International (KNSA) is benefiting from continued momentum for Arcalyst, its treatment for recurrent pericarditis, a condition in which the sac around the heart becomes inflamed in repeated episodes, Wedbush Securities said Tuesday in a report.

Arcalyst's growth continues to be driven by broadening prescriber adoption, with more than 5,000 clinicians having used the therapy since launch and returning users accounting for over half of new scripts, Wedbush said.

Kiniksa shares face additional upside as Arcalyst's cash generation supports development of the company's pipeline and as newer recurrent pericarditis assets create a path for long-term expansion, the report said.

Wedbush highlighted KPL-387, Kiniksa's next-generation treatment candidate, as a "de-risked" opportunity that may strengthen the company's position in IL-1 blockade for recurrent pericarditis while improving the franchise's long-term economics

Wedbush increased its price target on Kiniksa's stock to $99 from $72 and maintained its outperform rating.
