Hilton Food Group Looks Set to Benefit from Dalco Deal
Dow Jones07-31
0846 GMT - Hilton Food Group's deal to sell Dalco removes a performance drag on the group's profits, Panmure Liberum analysts Anubhav Malhotra and Wayne Brown write in a note. The British food packaging company agreed to sell its Dutch-based vegan and vegetarian business to Livekindly Production for 5.4 million pounds. "Dalco has been loss-making for years due to a lack of scale, losing around 2 million pounds in the first-half of 2026," they say. The transaction should strengthen the group, while its expansion into fresh-prepared foods is likely to keep boosting profit growth, they add. HFG shares are up 1.9% at 5.79 pounds.
