President Donald Trump announced on July 30 that the Board of Peace has reached a historic agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza, calling it a monumental step toward lasting peace and security.

Under the accord, Gaza will be governed by a new Palestinian government working closely with the Board of Peace. Israel's security will be ensured, with Gaza no longer used as a base for terror attacks. The agreement is a major milestone in implementing the Trump 20-Point Plan and will be carried out in carefully structured phases. As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and an International Stabilization Force will cooperate with a new Palestinian police force to secure Gaza for its residents and neighbors.

Trump noted that one year ago there was a violent war, humanitarian crisis, and hostages held in brutal captivity. He thanked mediators Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye, as well as his team, for their efforts. "The threat that emerged from Gaza on October 7 will NOT be allowed to rebuild!" Trump said, adding that under the agreement, Gaza will finally be in the hands of a new Palestinian government serving its people.
