Moody's Assigns First-Time Baa2 Long-Term Ratings to RBL Bank; Outlook Stable

MT Newswires Live07-31

Moody's Ratings assigned first-time Baa2 long-term issuer and deposit ratings and P-2 short-term issuer and deposit ratings to RBL Bank (NSE:RBLBANK, BOM:540065), according to a Thursday filing on Indian bourses.

The rating agency also assigned a ba1 baseline credit assessment and baa2 adjusted baseline credit assessment to the bank.

The rating outlook is stable.

Moody's said the ratings reflect its expectation that RBL Bank's credit profile will remain broadly stable over the next 12 to 18 months and include a two-notch uplift based on its assumption of a very high likelihood of support from the bank's largest shareholder, Emirates NBD Bank, if required.
