British American Tobacco's Results Seem Good Enough
Dow Jones07-30
0819 GMT - British American Tobacco's update looks solid and is in line with June's statement, RBC Capital Markets analyst James Edwardes Jones says. For the first half, the company posted revenue of 12.24 billion pounds, 1.4% higher on year in reported terms. The first-half print confirms the trends outlined earlier this year, with combustible market growth expectations having slowed further across all regions, the analyst writes in a research note. Against that, new categories continue to perform well, he adds. The results seem good enough, the analyst says. Shares are down 0.5%.
