L'Oreal Should Benefit from Rebound of Premium Beauty Market in China

Dow Jones08-03

1104 GMT - L'Oreal delivered solid first-half results, with performance in China a key positive, AlphaValue's Jie Zhang says. The French company attributes its strong showing to a recovery of the premium beauty market in China and Zhang says it should remain a key beneficiary of that rebound. "This reinforces confidence in the outlook for the coming quarters," the analyst writes in a note. L'Oreal has long held a leading position in the Chinese selective beauty segment, commanding a market share of around 30%, the analyst adds. Shares are up 1.2%.
