0954 GMT - Thales's range of defense systems are in line with procurement preferences in Europe and the Middle East, Barclays analysts write in a note to clients, lifting their rating on the stock to equal weight from underweight. The French group's offer in air defense, radars, electronic warfare, secure communications, command-and-control systems and sovereign technologies can sustain robust order momentum as demand accelerates, Barclays says. And investors may be seeing progress on profitability at Thales too, the analysts say. Barclays raises its target price on the stock to 280 euros from 270 euros. Shares gain 1.8% to 250.80 euros.
