0712 GMT - Nvidia may consider simpler memory setups for its upcoming Rubin Ultra AI chip as the industry braces for a prolonged memory shortage, according to a report by TrendForce. While no final decision has been made, the research firm says Nvidia is evaluating several lower-capacity options alongside its original design amid uncertainty surrounding next-generation memory production. Tight supply and rising costs are pushing AI chipmakers to prioritize availability and affordability alongside performance, it adds.
