Investors Cut BOE Rate-Rise Expectations as U.S.-Iran Talks Advance

1459 GMT - Markets lower their expectations of the Bank of England raising interest rates in 2026 as U.S.-Iran talks look to be progressing. The U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said a deal could be reached by Wednesday and a Qatari official said that the negotiations are advancing. Investors currently price in 23 basis points of BOE rate increases in 2026, down from around 26 basis points earlier in the day, LSEG data show.
