JSW Energy (NSE:JSWENERGY, BOM:533148) has completed the acquisition of 100% of Maruti Clean Coal & Power (MCCPL), which owns and operates a 300 MW thermal power plant in Chhattisgarh, India.
The transaction values MCCPL at an enterprise value of 14.1 billion Indian rupees, according to an Indian bourse filing on Friday. The Korba City-based plant has a 195 MW long-term power purchase agreement with Rajasthan distribution companies, while the remaining capacity is supplied to Chhattisgarh's distribution company and the merchant market.
Following the acquisition, JSW Energy's total installed capacity has increased to 14,835 MW.
