GEO Group Shares Decline Amid Higher Q2 Financial Results

GEO Group (GEO) shares were down over 1% in Thursday trading amid reporting higher Q2 financial results.

The company posted early Thursday Q2 adjusted earnings of $0.37 per diluted share, up from $0.22 a year earlier.

Four analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.29.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $732.1 million, up from $636.2 million a year ago. Four analysts expected $721.4 million.

The company said it expects Q3 EPS of $0.35 to $0.37 on revenue of $755 million to $805 million. Analysts are looking for EPS of $0.31 on revenue of $764.4 million.

For Q4, GEO Group expects EPS of $0.28 to $0.31 on revenue of $758 million to $808 million. Analysts are looking for EPS of $0.34 on revenue of $793.4 million.

Meanwhile, the company raised its 2026 EPS outlook to now be between $1.27 and $1.32 from the prior guidance of between $1.15 and $1.25. Analysts are looking for $1.22.

Revenue guidance for the year is now expected to be between $2.95 billion and $3.05 billion, compared with $2.95 billion to $3.10 billion previously. Analysts are expecting $2.98 billion.
