Siemens Expected to Show Positive Momentum Across Divisions

Siemens is scheduled to report results for the third quarter of fiscal 2026 on Thursday. Here is what you need to know:

REVENUE FORECAST: The German industrial company is expected to post 20.64 billion euros ($23.80 billion) in revenue for the quarter to June, according to a company-provided consensus. That compares with 19.38 billion euros reported in the prior-year period. According to the same consensus, analysts expect quarterly orders to come in at 24.70 billion euros, a decrease from the 24.72 billion euros it reported a year ago.

NET PROFIT FORECAST: Siemens's net profit is expected at 1.90 billion euros, according to the same consensus, down from the 2.24 billion euros it reported in the prior-year period.

Siemens shares trade 0.6% lower at 285.65 euros with shares up 19% in the year to date.

-- KEY DIVISIONS: Siemens is expected to deliver another strong quarter, with continued positive momentum across both its smart infrastructure and digital industries divisions, Bank of America analysts said in a note to clients. Particularly strong demand in electrification, grid investment and data centers stands out positively, with no clear slowdown in orders and double-digit growth expected in key segments, they said. Meanwhile, Siemens's software business points to steady growth despite broader pressure on valuations across the sector, the analysts added.

-- DATA CENTERS: Bank of America analysts also view the capital goods sector as increasingly positive, with investors still underestimating how much data center demand will benefit major industrial players. Siemens looks well-positioned to benefit from long-term data center growth trends, particularly as new electrical architectures increase demand for its solutions, the analysts said. In addition, structural growth in artificial intelligence-related infrastructure will significantly expand the size of the addressable market over the coming years, they said.

-- VALUATION: Citi analysts expect that Siemens's valuation over the longer term could be supported by several factors. These include the planned spinoff of its stake in Healthineers and its consensus forecasts for fiscal 2027 remaining too conservative at the moment, they said. Meanwhile, third-quarter results are unlikely to significantly lift its valuation, with management reaffirming its outlook since the last quarterly results, the analysts added.
