Shift4 Payments Shares Fall Following 2026 Guidance Cut

Shift4 Payments (FOUR) shares were down more than 13% in early Thursday trading after the company issued a weak Q3 gross revenue less network fees outlook and lowered its 2026 guidance.

The company reported Q2 non-GAAP earnings Thursday of $1.32 per diluted share, up from $1.10 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.25.

Gross revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $1.3 billion, up from $966 million a year earlier.

Shift4 Payments said it expects Q3 gross revenue less network fees of about $650 million. Analysts expect $674.4 million.

The company said it now expects full-year 2026 non-GAAP EPS guidance to be in a range of $5.15 to $5.35, compared with the previous range of $5.50 to $5.70. Analysts expect $5.58.

Full-year gross revenue less network fees is expected to be in a range of $2.48 billion to $2.53 billion, compared with previous guidance of $2.5 billion to $2.6 billion. Analysts expect $2.54 billion.
