Moove, Uber's (UBER) largest global fleet partner, has raised $250 million at a $2.1 billion valuation in a Series C funding round, it said Wednesday.

The company, whose backers include BlackRock (BLK) and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial (MUFG), said Mubadala Investment Company led the funding round. Woven Capital, a Toyota (TM) fund, and Ion Pacific co-led the round.

BlueCrest Capital Management, Sona Asset Management and The Raptor Group joined the funding round as institutional investors, according to the statement.

Moove plans to use the funds to expand its autonomous vehicle business, including fleet ownership and infrastructure "nests", where vehicles are charged, serviced, and maintained for continuous operation. The funds will also be used to support new global market launches.

Moove expects to expand its workforce to about 500 from roughly 150 by the end of this year.
