Materion (MTRN) reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings Wednesday of $1.90 per diluted share, compared with $1.37 a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.52.
Net sales for the quarter ended July 3 were $613.9 million, compared with $431.7 million a year earlier.
Analysts expected $549.8 million.
The company said it now expects full-year adjusted EPS of between $6.80 and $7.20, compared with previous guidance of $6.00 to $6.50. Analysts expect $6.43. Full-year top-line growth is now expected in the mid-teens, compared with prior outlook of low double-digit range.
Shares of the company were up 8.7% in Wednesday premarket activity.
