AT&T (T) said Thursday it selected Ericsson (ERIC) to supply 600 MHz dual-band radios for the deployment of spectrum recently acquired from EchoStar (ECHO).
The radios will allow AT&T to deploy uplink-enhancing 8RX technology across its low-band spectrum, strengthening wireless coverage and capacity while supporting future connectivity needs such as AI-driven content creation, sharing and real-time interactions.
The agreement builds on AT&T and Ericsson's prior collaboration to accelerate Open RAN deployment, AT&T said.
