Netlist, Samsung Electronics Sign Agreements for Patent Cross-License, Memory Product Supply, Tech Cooperation

Netlist, the California-based high-performance modular memory subsystems provider, signed five-year term agreements with Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) that covered a patent cross-license, memory product supply and technology cooperation, according to a PR Newswire release on Wednesday.

Samsung Electronics agreed to buy 10 million Netlist common stock shares, in relation to the memory product supply agreement, and both companies agreed to settle and mutually release all pending legal actions, it said.

Samsung will also get access to the complete patent portfolio of Netlist, which comprises its server DIMM and high-bandwidth memory technologies, the release said.

Shares of Samsung Electronics fell over 6% at market close.
