JPMorgan Chase (JPM) underwent a Federal probe this year as prosecutors looked into claims the lender ignored deficiencies in its anti-fraud program and improperly denied more than $100 million in reimbursements for stolen money, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
A whistleblower report last year by JPMorgan's then-head of scam prevention sparked the Federal review, the news report said.
JPMorgan did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
