HD Hyundai (KRX:267250) has launched a pilot productivity project at Huntington Ingalls' Mississippi shipyard, following its 2025 technology cooperation.
The initiative introduces HD Hyundai's proprietary intelligent welding system, which boosts efficiency by auto-adjusting weld positions and enabling remote multi-robot management, according to a company statement.
The 2025 pact was signed at the Sea Air Space exhibition in Washington, which laid the groundwork for collaboration across digital shipyards, AI integration, naval construction, workforce training, and supply chain development.
