LB Pharmaceuticals (LBRX) reported Tuesday that its Q2 net loss per share narrowed to $1.71, from a loss of $13.58 per share a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of $0.80 per share.
As of June 30, the company had $327.8 million in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities.
It said this balance excludes net proceeds from a $150 million private placement completed in July and, based on its current operating assumptions, expects to fund operations beyond Q2 2029.
The company's net loss widened to $51.6 million from $4.9 million a year earlier, as research and development expenses rose sharply, primarily due to its Phase 3 schizophrenia trial.
LB Pharmaceuticals also said it now expects topline data from that trial in the first half of 2027, earlier than previously forecast.
