Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals (ASX:CUV) said it identified flexible liquid dose formulations that have shown the most potential for further development as part of its VLRX-L injectable peptide formulation platform, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Optimization is now underway at the company's research and development center in Singapore, with further pre-clinical studies scheduled for early in the first quarter of 2027, pending final results, per the filing.

In the latest pre-clinical study with four candidate formulations, one candidate "demonstrated a superior release profile over the targeted peptide delivery window, with lower peak plasma levels and drug detected over the delivery period," the company said.
