Bettr, the fintech arm of Alibaba's (HKG:9988) Ant International, has partnered with Muslim Pro to launch an Umrah financing in Malaysia for eligible Muslims, according to a Sunday press release.
The Shariah-compliant facility allows users to apply digitally for participating Umrah packages and repay the cost over 12 to 24 months, with early settlement permitted under applicable terms.
The financing uses a Tawarruq structure and covers packages ranging from standard to premium, including flights, accommodation, meals and ground transport, the company said.
Financing is subject to eligibility and credit assessment, Bettr said.
