Eni (E) and United Arab Emirates-based Khazna Data Center have received approval from the European Commission to create a joint venture focused on the construction, management and operation of data centers, the Commission said Monday.
The transaction would not raise competition concerns due to the companies' limited combined market positions, the regulator said.
The deal was reviewed under the EU's simplified merger procedure, it added.
