Toppan Profit Soars 131% in Fiscal Q1

Toppan (TYO:7911) profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped 131% to 21.7 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter, from 9.37 billion yen a year earlier.

The printing company's basic earnings per share more than doubled to 76.89 yen from 32.41 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Wednesday.

Net sales increased 15% to 457.3 billion yen for the three months ended June 30, from 397.6 billion yen.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects an attributable profit of 55.0 billion yen, basic EPS of 198.57 yen and net sales of 1.925 trillion yen.

Toppan expects to pay interim and year-end dividends of 29.00 yen per share each for the current fiscal year.
