L'Oréal Has Reached a Turning Point After a Period of Weak Growth

Dow Jones08-12 17:01

0901 GMT - L'Oreal showed strong innovation, which led to broad-based category growth and market share gains, analysts at Bernstein say in a research note. After a period marked by weakening sales in the beauty market, organic growth has reaccelerated over the past year, the brokerage says. The French group saw a particularly encouraging improvement in areas that had been a source of investor concern, such as the dermatological business, they say. "We think that the broad-based nature of the growth acceleration in 1H should lead to a meaningful upgrade in confidence around the growth outlook," the analysts say. Shares are down 0.5%.
