on the earnings hot seat this week. \n\nCapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust (SGX: C38U), or CICT, reports on 12 August 2026, with Wilmar International Limited (SGX: F34) reporting after trading hours on the same day.\n\nCapitaLand Investment Limited (SGX: 9CI), or CLI, follows on 13 August 2026.\n\nAll three published their previous first-quarter updates in May. \n\nA quarterly business update carries a narrower set of disclosures than a half-year report. \n\nThe August releases close that gap. \n\nWhat the companies reported previously provides a clue on what to watch. \n\nWill CICT’s first distribution of 2026 follow its property income higher?\nCICT owns retail, office and integrated development properties across Singapore, Germany and Australia. \n\nCapitaLand Investment sponsors the REIT.\n\nGross revenue reached S$426.7 million in the first quarter of 2026 (1Q2026), up 8.0% year on year (YoY). \n\nNet property income (NPI) rose 7.9% YoY to S$314.4 million. \n\nCICT distributes twice a year and declared no distribution per unit (DPU) for the quarter. \n\nThe 12 August release carries the first distribution of 2026.\n\nRead that top-line growth carefully. \n\nCICT stepped up to a 100% interest in CapitaSpring from 26 August 2025 and booked maiden income from Galileo, whose handover was largely completed in 1Q2026. \n\nNeither contributed a year earlier, which makes the first-half comparison something other than like for like.\n\nCommitted occupancy stood at 95.2% as at 31 March 2026, down 1.7 percentage points quarter on quarter, against a portfolio WALE of 3.0 years. \n\nRental reversions ran at +4.4% for retail and +6.1% for office for the year to March 2026. \n\nThe half-year figures will reveal whether reversion strength held while occupancy slipped.\n\nCICT is acquiring 100% of Paragon from Cuscaden Peak at an agreed property value of S$3.9 billion. \n\nIt plans to part-fund the purchase by divesting Asia Square Tower 2 for S$2.48 billion, a 9.9% premium over the 31 December 2025 valuation. \n\nManagement indicated pro forma DPU accretion of 1.7%; pro forma accretion is a projection rather than a distribution.\n\nCompletion is expected in 3Q2026.\n\nWatch the funding structure and the unit base.\n\nWhat will CLI disclose that its quarterly update did not?\nCLI manages real assets and runs two pillars. \n\nIts fee income-related business (FRB) covers listed funds, private funds, commercial and lodging management. \n\nIts real estate investment business (REIB) holds fund stakes and balance sheet investments. \n\nFunds under management stood at around S$125 billion as at 31 March 2026.\n\nFRB revenue rose 10% YoY to S$310 million in 1Q2026. \n\nListed funds management grew 14% YoY and private funds management jumped 58% on higher real estate credit contributions. \n\nREIB revenue fell 14% to S$207 million after the Synergy platform exit in August 2025 and the Dalian IT Park divestment. \n\nThose absences will distort the REIB comparison for the first half as well.\n\nCLI withholds operating PATMI and dividends from its quarterly updates. \n\nBoth will surface on 13 August. \n\n\nIncome investors will get their first look at 2026 earnings and payout intent on that date.\n\nLodging management fee-related revenue held flat at S$84 million. \n\nRecurring fees grew 5% YoY while one-off event-driven fees tapered.\n\nRevenue per available unit (RevPAU) rose 3% to S$80, with Japan and Korea leading at S$188 on a 7-percentage-point lift in occupancy. \n\nRecurring growth without event fees carries the cleaner signal.\n\nCLI raised around S$2.5 billion in equity year to date. \n\nIt deployed S$7.2 billion and divested S$3.4 billion over the same period.\n\nDid Wilmar’s hedging losses reverse as management expected?\nWilmar operates across the agribusiness value chain with more than 1,000 manufacturing plants in 36 countries.\n\nRevenue climbed 21.9% YoY to US$19.8 billion in 1Q2026. \n\nExcluding AWL Agri Business, consolidated since December 2025, revenue grew 7.6% YoY to US$17.44 billion. \n\nThe same consolidation will inflate the first-half comparison.\n\nNet profit attributable to shareholders fell 22.8% YoY to US$265.6 million. \n\nCore net profit dropped 23.0% to US$264.2 million. \n\nManagement attributed the decline mainly to temporary unrealised mark-to-market hedging losses tied to commodity price volatility and expects them to reverse in coming quarters. \n\nWeaker associate and joint-venture contributions and softer Plantation and Sugar Milling results added to the fall.\n\nCash carries the other half of the story. \n\nNet cash flow from operating activities came in at US$1.69 billion, down 18.5% YoY. \n\nNet debt fell 7.0% to US$18.6 billion as at 31 March 2026 from US$20.0 billion at 31 December 2025, and net gearing improved to 0.84x from 0.91x.\n\nGet Smart: Not all that can be counted counts; not all that counts can be counted\nNot every line in an earnings release carries the same weight. \n\nA declared distribution is a fact. \n\nA disclosed profit figure is a fact. \n\nA management expectation is not, however reasonable it sounds. \n\nCICT will declare a distribution on 12 August. \n\nCLI will disclose earnings it has withheld all year. \n\nWilmar’s hedging reversal stays an expectation
