CSPC Innovation Pharmaceutical (SHE:300765) subsidiary CSPC Jushi Biopharmaceutical received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance to conduct clinical trials of its SYS6037 monkeypox vaccine candidate.
The investigational new drug application for the vaccine passed safety review by the U.S. FDA, according to an after-hours filing on Monday with the Shenzhen bourse.
Shares jumped nearly 6% during afternoon trading on Tuesday.
