Paypal has enabled its US app users to make in-store QR code payments at Weixin Pay merchants in China, according to a Wednesday release by Paypal.
The payments can be made without the need for an additional app, local wallet, or Chinese bank account.
The move is powered by cross-border network PayPal World and Tencent's (HKG:0700) cross-border payment platform TenPay Global, according to the release.
