TCL SunPower adopted SAP's fit-to-standard approach, using standard processes instead of extensive customisation.\n\"We needed to complete the transition in just four months while creating a stronger operating foundation for our overseas business. With SAP GROW, we were able to adopt standard processes, reduce complexity and support our finance, supply chain, compliance and traceability needs across multiple markets,\" says Eric Wang, TCL SunPower's overseas digitisation head.\nSince the system went live in February, TCL SunPower has shortened its financial close by at least three days. It also consolidated five peripheral finance systems into one integrated with SAP through the SAP Business Technology Platform. The system supports local regulatory reporting and e-invoicing requirements in selected countries, while bringing overseas entities under group-level financial and treasury governance.\nBesides that, TCL SunPower has connected its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with its manufacturing execution and warehouse-management systems. The move has improved inventory accuracy by 10% to 15%, while reducing manual handovers and billing delays.\nThe platform also manages serial numbers for solar products, allowing the company to track products through manufacturing, warehousing, warranty and after-sales service. It now uses common material master data and bills of materials across manufacturing and warehouse systems.\nTCL SunPower has also activated SAP's AI assistant called Joule. Employees can use Joule to retrieve real-time information on inventory, orders and financial performance, and to summarise operational information.
