China Mobile's Attributable Profit Slides 6% in H1

China Mobile's (HKG:0941, SHA:600941) attributable profit to equity shareholders fell 6.3% to 78.9 billion yuan in the first half from 84.2 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

Earnings per share at the telco decreased to 3.62 yuan from 3.87 yuan in the prior-year period.

Operating revenue declined year over year to 538 billion yuan from 543.8 billion yuan.

The company also declared a dividend of 2.51 yuan per share, up by 0.3% year over year, payable Sept. 30 to shareholders on record as of Aug. 31.
