Cisco Systems, Applied Materials and 3 Stocks to Watch Heading Into Thursday

With U.S. stock futures trading slightly higher this morning on Thursday, some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are as follows:

  • Wall Street expects Applied Materials Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT) to post quarterly earnings of $3.39 per share on revenue of $9.00 billion after the closing bell, according to data from Benzinga Pro. Applied Materials shares gained 0.9% to $552.89 in after-hours trading.
  • Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) reported better-than-expected financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 after the closing bell on Wednesday. Cisco guided for fiscal year 2027 revenue of $72.2 billion to $73.4 billion versus estimates of $68.69 billion. The company also guided for full-year adjusted earnings of $5.05 to $5.11 per share, versus estimates of $4.80 per share. Cisco shares fell 4.1% to $118.84 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Analysts are expecting Applied Industrial Technologies Inc. (NYSE:AIT) to post quarterly earnings of $2.92 per share on revenue of $1.29 billion. The company will release earnings before the markets open. Applied Industrial Technologies shares gained 2% to $359.37 in after-hours trading.

  • Harmonic Inc. (NASDAQ:HLIT) posted better-than-expected second-quarter results. The company announced preliminary unaudited financials for the quarter ended Jul. 3. Harmonic shares jumped 20% to $14.40 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Analysts expect Dillard’s Inc. (NYSE:DDS) to post quarterly earnings of $4.29 per share on revenue of $1.52 billion before the opening bell. Dillard’s shares fell 1.6% to close at $636.02 on Wednesday.
