HSBC Completes Tender Offer For $4.9 Billion 2028 Bonds

HSBC (HKG:0005) has completed its tender offers for four series of senior unsecured notes due in 2028, accepting notes with an aggregate principal amount of about $4.9 billion.

The bank accepted all valid tenders for its September 2028, November 2028 and March 2028 notes. The May 2028 notes were prorated, with HSBC accepting $1 billion of the $1.46 billion tendered, applying a 66.97% proration factor.

The total consideration payable is $4.9 billion, excluding accrued interest. Payment to holders will be made on Aug. 17, 2026.

All notes accepted in the offers will be cancelled and retired, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.
