Perma-Fix Environmental Services (PESI) said Wednesday it has been awarded a master indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity subcontract by Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure for the treatment and disposal of pretreated liquid mixed low-level waste from the US Department of Energy's Hanford Site.

Shares jumped nearly 16%, with intraday trading volume rising to more than 1.2 million from the stock's daily average of about 405,000.
