China Shenhua Energy (SHA:601088, HKG:1088) logged coal sales of 53.1 million tonnes in July, down 4.5% from 55.6 million tonnes a year earlier.
Commercial coal production declined 3.1% year over year to 43.4 million tonnes from 44.8 million tonnes, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
For the January-to-July period, coal sales ticked up 0.8% to 353.3 million tonnes, while production slid 3.5% to 293.3 million tonnes.
