Market Chatter: SK hynix Faces Investor Backlash Over Potential Solidigm Nasdaq Listing

MT Newswires Live16:39

SK hynix (SKHY) is facing investor concerns over a potential Nasdaq listing of its US subsidiary Solidigm, with critics warning that the move could create a complex multiple-listing structure and erode shareholder value, The Korea Times reported Friday, citing industry officials.

The report said Solidigm is reportedly considering a pre-IPO fundraising of 5 trillion won ($3.5 billion) to 10 trillion won, with Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs among potential underwriters.

The company is also hiring an executive to oversee SEC filings and external financial reporting, The Korea Times said.

SK hynix did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
