CSPC Innovation Pharmaceutical (SHE:300765), through unit Jushi Biosciences, received the initial payment of $30 million from AstraZeneca for the development of the small nucleic acid pipeline, according to a Wednesday disclosure on the Shenzhen bourse.
The Chinese pharmaceutical company's shares rose 2% during Thursday's morning trade.
Jushi Biosciences signed a deal with AstraZeneca in July to develop nucleic acids for drug production.
