US Puts Lower Oil Prices Ahead Of Iran Nuclear Program, Vance Says

MT Newswires Live06:11

The US is now prioritizing lower oil and gasoline prices for American consumers over Iran's nuclear program in the war, Vice President JD Vance told Fox News, AFP reported Friday.

Vance said keeping oil and gas prices low is the administration's top goal as Iran's shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz disrupts global fuel supplies, AFP reported.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also said new economic measures against Tehran are imminent, AFP reported.
